A wide variety of sea life organisms are freshly prepared and cooked and are termed under “seafood”. Sea food includes fish, shellfish, and roe. Shellfish includes various species of molluscs, crustaceans, and echinoderms. Edible sea plants, such as some microalgae and seaweeds are eaten as Seafood. In North America and England the term ‘seafood’ is that fresh water organisms eaten by humans.
